Start: Denmark Town

Start by driving out of Denmark Town off the South Coast Hwy east along Strickland Street (towards the IGA) for 5 meters, then immediately TURN LEFT on Mount Shadforth Road. You are on your way...

1st Stop: Castelli Estate

Castelli Estate, has recently opened its doors in the form of a Cellar Door, Bar, Bistro and Luxury Lodge. This stunningly beautiful and sublimly located Tudor style Estate has stone walls, grand arches, black chandeliers, venetian mirrors and it evinces beauty to match its functionality as a Winery. Try their full range of Checkmate, Empirica & Estate wines, as well as Cellar-Door only specials!

Owned by the Castelli family, the newly opened Bar and Bistro offers all day table service, seven days a week, in the exquisitely decorated dining room. You can even stay a night or two at the newly opened Luxury Lodge. It makes for a delightful place to stay, dine, party or simply sit, take in the view and have a glass of wine. Castelli is also a high profile outdoor music venue.

2nd Stop: The Lake House Denmark

The Lake House Denmark is a family owned award winning Tourist Destination with a cellar door, restaurant, function venue, gourmet food emporium and winery. It is owned by Garry Capelli and Leanne Rogers. This high quality Winery is only 5 minutes out of town and is a 'must see'. Leave a few hours to really enjoy this paradise location.

The property itself is wonderfully located, enjoy delicious biodynamic produce in the restaurant as you overlook the peaceful lake. 13 acres of established vineyards, planted in 1995, has varieties including pinot noir, merlot, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, semillon and marsenne. Bring home some gourmet condiments of chutneys, relishs, jams, mustards, sauces, jellies and sweets and check out the WineSpa with natural body and bath products, great as gifts or personal treats. A trip you won't forget!
