Start = A: Denmark Town Start by driving West out of Denmark Town along the South Coast Highway towards Walpole. You are on your way! 1st Stop = B: Bartholomews Meadery
Heading towards Walpole you'll pass Green's Pool and Elephant Rocks (well worth a stop) and just a few kilometres past the entrance to the William Bay National park you will see a right turn into Bartholomews Meadery.
This delightful cellar door and Meadery is owned by Careena and James Kellie and will leave you satisfied in many ways!
Start with a tipple of Mead, the nectar of the Gods, and taste some delicious honey ice cream, buy gifts, honey, toys and skincare gifts.
Watching the bees in the glass beehive is fascinating for adults and children alike.
2nd Stop = C: Moombaki Wine
Drive further towards Walpole and you'll come to Moombaki Wine, on Parker Road, Kentdale. Their property borders the pristine Kent River (between Denmark & Walpole). Just the drive to get there is a delight!
Moombaki is a family run winery owned by David Britten and Melissa Boughey, who have been locals for almost 20 years. They are committed to making distinctive hand-crafted wines and they do taste divine!
Melissa is an artist and her exquisite paintings adorn the walls. This friendly cellar door is a 'must stop' destination, intimate and artistic.
3rd Stop = D: Old Kent River Winery
Leave some room for lunch or dinner because you're next stop will leave you thrilled! Enjoy local hand reared marron and lamb, plus other great food choices at Old Kent River Winery Restaurant and Cellar Door owned by Mark and Debbie Noack.
The salads are made from produce grown by Debbie in her garden and there are also scrumptious desserts including a home-made Apple Pie, which was featured in the Food Magazine Delicious. Indoor and alfresco dinning opportunities.
This cellar door offers travelers the opportunity to taste the full range of Old Kent River wines, including the limited release Burls Pinot Noir and Diamondtina Sparkling Wine.
4th Stop = E: Valley of the Giants Wine & Olives
Continue on towards Walpole until you come to Bow Bridge. Just after Bow Bridge turn right unto the Valley of the Giants Road and you're on your way to the gorgeous spacious property that is Valley of the Giants Wine and Olives.
The Estate, owned and operated by the Swiss couple Andreas (Andy) and Irene Bachmann, is a 120 acre farm located on a hillside with views over the Wildeness National Park, simply breathtaking.
Here you'll find delicious wine as well as the most heavenly organic olives and olive oil... you may finish the jar before you reach the main road, so you'd better buy a few! Friendly couple with a beautiful cellar door and and art gallery.
